Chimney Inspection Services in MA & RI

Know exactly what's happening inside your flue before lighting your next fire.

A chimney inspection is more than a quick glance up the flue. A proper inspection evaluates every component of your chimney system — from the firebox and smoke chamber to the flue liner, crown, and cap — to ensure everything is sound, functional, and safe to use.

At Ultimate Chimney Sweep, Our experienced technicians perform thorough inspections and provide you with a clear, honest report of your chimney's condition — including any issues found and exactly what's needed to address them.

INSPECTION LEVELS

Chimney Inspection Levels

Level 1 Inspection

A visual inspection of all accessible portions of the chimney exterior, interior, and accessible attic, crawl space, and basement areas. Recommended annually for chimneys used under normal conditions with no changes to the system. This is the standard inspection included with ALL chimney cleanings.

Level 2 Inspection

Includes everything in a Level 1 plus a closer inspection of the flue interior. Required when buying or selling a home, after a chimney fire or severe weather event, or when making changes to the heating system (new liner, new appliance, or fuel type change). Provides the most comprehensive view of the flue condition.

Level 3 Inspection

The most invasive inspection — may involve removal of chimney components or portions of the structure to access areas of concern. Only recommended when serious hazards are suspected and cannot be evaluated by Levels 1 or 2.
